Here are photos of the new system to install the external fender vents.
Once I get the template made for printing, I'll do an installation guide.
The first photo shows the flanges I've 'glassed onto the back of the vent.
The next two show the vent slid in the upward position.
Notice the bottom of the vent has been cut off for the ground effects:
The next two show the vent slid back down to engage the lower flange:
And this one shows the piece you cut off of the part of the fender that you cut out to "lock" it in place.
It doesn't actually lock it in, but it takes out the slack of the flange. A little glue will hold everything.:
This is the installed vent.
The flanges will increase the cost of the vents, but make the installation nearly effortless.
